Lithium battery manufacturer teaches you how to distinguish Lithium vs Alkaline Batteries. Lithium ion battery is a high-tech product to replace the current high-energy alkaline batteries, because of its unparalleled discharge performance, service life, and environmental advantages, quickly become popular in developed countries, following the first generation of carbon batteries, the second generation of alkaline batteries after the third generation of batteries – lithium ion batteries. Here is how to distinguish alkaline batteries and lithium ion batteries by NPP new energy.
Alkaline batteries are also known as alkaline dry batteries, alkaline zinc-manganese batteries, and alkaline manganese batteries, and they are the best performing type of zinc-manganese batteries in the series. They are suitable for high discharge capacity and long term use. They have lower internal resistance and therefore generate a higher current than ordinary manganese batteries, and the environmentally friendly version contains only 0.025% mercury and does not require recycling.
Lithium ion batteries are the third generation of primary batteries after carbon batteries and alkaline batteries. They have many advantages such as excellent discharge performance, wide operating temperature range, long storage time, and zero pollution, and are regarded by the industry as the most ideal alternative to disposable batteries at present.

Alkaline batteries, with their high capacity and low price, occupy half of the dry cell market and can be found in convenience stores and large supermarkets. However, alkaline batteries have also been criticized for leaking. The electrolyte inside alkaline batteries is strongly alkaline and corrosive to metals and plastics, so some demanding digital products have started to abandon alkaline batteries and use non-leaking lithium-iron batteries instead.
These are the differences between alkaline batteries and lithium ion batteries. These two types of batteries have their own advantages, compared to the first generation of carbon and the second generation of alkaline batteries, the third generation of lithium ion batteries has more obvious advantages. It is based on the above advantages, lithium-iron batteries are often referred to as the third generation of primary batteries after carbon batteries and alkaline batteries. Lithium vs Alkaline Batteries, Lithium batteries are better and the most ideal alternative to alkaline batteries, and have become a necessity in emergency kits in many countries during earthquakes and wartime.
