Lithium RV battery is widely used in consumer electronic products, military products, and aviation products due to their high energy density, high open circuit voltage, high output power, no memory effect, low self-discharge, and fast charging and discharging speed. Lithium batteries are widely used in consumer electronic products, military products, and aviation products due to their high energy density, high open circuit voltage, high output power, no memory effect, low self-discharge, and fast charging and discharging speed. So, let’s talk about how to use lithium rv batteries in the end, in order to give full play to its advantages, not only safe and reliable but also increase the service life.
How to use lithium batteries correctly and avoid all kinds of accidents as much as possible, here are the following points from the majority of RV users:
The lithium iron phosphate battery has almost no memory. When many riders use the lithium ion rv battery, such as 12v lifepo4 battery / 24 lifepo4 battery, they often use up a little power (referring to discharging the batteries to the lowest voltage of the protection board), and then recharging it. In the eyes of many people, this is It is also a way of activating the rv batteries lithium.
In the use of lithium batteries, we call the situation of recharging after running out of power deep charge and discharge. Deep charge and discharge are major misunderstandings by many people when using lithium batteries. Scientifically speaking, the number of deep charges and discharges is inversely proportional to the lithium rv batteries life when other environmental conditions are constant. Repeated charge and discharge will lead to excessive battery life ending early. In addition, lithium batteries whose long service life is about to end, if we use them often, it is very likely to cause battery failures and other situations, resulting in accidents.
It mainly happens when the lithium battery protection board is unreasonably designed and charged. Some people often like to charge the rv lithium battery for a while after the battery is fully charged as if to make their equipment last longer. But they don’t know that if you keep long-term overcharging and over-discharge the battery, it will cause serious damage to the battery or influence its working performance, and even cause fire and explosion. Therefore, disconnect the battery with the charger after fully charging.
When charging and discharging, the current of both the charger and the electrical appliance must be within the specified range:
A too-large current can easily cause an internal short circuit of the Lithium RV battery, thereby destroying the internal structure of the lithium battery and causing potential safety hazards in the circuit. Similarly, there’s the same regulation for charging and discharging voltage. Therefore, we should also pay attention to checking whether the charger is qualified, and try to choose a high-quality charger.
Lithium RV battery has a wide temperature range for various applications but trying to avoid an environment below zero for the long term, would cause a great impact and serious damage to the using life because lithium battery is extremely sensitive to temperature. Meanwhile, an overheated environment will also cause a much shorter battery life. The increase in internal voltage will cause a fire or even an explosion, the battery will be destroyed quickly at high temperatures.
It’s very important to realize the influence of the working environment. Battery should be stored at 4℃-35℃, dry or with damp-proof packing. Far away from heat sources and direct sunlight.
Remember to charge every three to six months if the Lithium RV battery is not used or needs to be stored for a long time. The best storage voltage is about 2.85V, so it would be better to charge every single cell until 2.8V-2.9V. Keep DOD around 40%-60% is OK, not full.
